La Course de l’Alliance, taking place from November 29th – December 1st, 2013, is a distinctive regatta within the Caribbean racing calendar and there are many reasons to get involved and kick start the season with this multi cultural event. La Course de l’Alliance has been endorsed by the SMYC since its initiation in 2003. For the second year running, the SMYC will take on the complete organization of this unique event cementing the alliance between Sint Maarten, St. Barths and Anguilla. Traditionally, the regatta starts out in Sint Maarten and travels to St Barths for the first stop on the tour of these fantastic islands. The second day of racing takes participants to Anguilla followed by a race back to the starting point in Sint Maarten for the third and final day. The last day also involves the final prize giving held at the Sint Maarten Yacht Club.
What makes this event unique is the 3 yacht clubs working effortlessly together to organize a regatta that starts and/or finishes at each of these destinations. What better way to enjoy these beautiful waters and to meet sailors from many different nations.
La Course de l’Alliance takes you on challenging itinerary to three different islands over three days. Organizers are keen to make sure that all boats entered enjoy their weekend, and therefore offer courses designed to both challenge and excite participants.
