🌍 The 2026 Golden Globe Race

⛵ 21 sailors

🌊 30,000 miles

🧭 Non-stop

👤 Solo

🚫 No outside assistance

A true test of endurance and seamanship.

Departing from Les Sables-d’Olonne 🇫🇷 on September 6th, 2026, sailors will race solo, non-stop around the world, passing the legendary Five Great Capes before returning to France.

🕰️ What makes this race unique?

Sailors compete using pre-1988 designed yachts and traditional navigation methods only —

❌ No GPS

❌ No modern technology

✔️ Just skill, instinct, and resilience

⚓ Boats must be between 32ft and 36ft, full-keel, heavy and robust — inspired by Sir Robin Knox-Johnston’s iconic Suhaili.

✨ This race brings sailing back to its roots — the “Golden Age” of solo ocean racing, where determination matters more than technology.
