Product Information
The unique patented Automatic Start Up stores cooling energy when power surpluses are available. Air-cooled, seawater pumped or seawater self-pumping units are available for refrigeration compartments up to 325litres (12 cu.ft.). Isotherm ASU systems are designed for easy installation in existing or custom built cool boxes. The ASU system dramatically reduces drain on the batteries while supplying refrigeration in abundance. It senses when excess power is available from the engine alternator, wind generator or solar panels. It then speeds up the compressor to rapidly freeze the eutectic solution in the holding plate. When excess power is no longer available, the compressor does not run at all. The frozen holding plate supplies the required cooling. When the holding plate “cold reservoir” is used up, the compressor restarts in low speed, low current mode to maintain box temperature. Also available in self-pumping seawater cooled.
