Alternators, inverters and compressors can transmit noise along DC power lines. This often manifests itself as whine or hum on radios and audio equipment. A noise filter in the power feed to the affected equipment can be effective in reducing or eliminating this annoying noise. 10 amps maximum for 6 to 48 VDC.
