Product Information
With its large display and on-screen soft key functions, the Icom M506-01 is very easy to use. Active noise cancelling is applied to both transmit and receive signals making this the clearest VHF radio on the market.
The built-in 2-way hailer has a 25 watt amplifier to make sure that instructions to the crew are heard even in windy conditions. The M506-01 also has a built in horn with selectable horn patterns. (Horn and hailer require optional external speaker).

- Last call voice recorder means you don’t miss important safety or weather messages.
- Built-in DSC watch function monitors Ch.70 (DSC channel) activity, even while you are receiving another channel.
- DSC functions include: distress, individual, group, all ships, urgency, safety, position request/report, polling request and DSC test calls.
- Optional COMMANDMICIV makes it convenient for using the M506 from a separate cabin or tower. All functions of the M506 can be controlled from the COMMANDMICIV.
The M506-01 is the basic version. Other versions add built-in AIS receiver with on screen target display and/or NMEA 2000 connectivity.
