The HX400 is factory programmed with all USA, Canadian and International and NOAA Weather channels. It can also be programmed 40 Land Mobile Radio (137-174 MHz) channels with CTCSS or DSC signaling by a Standard Horizon dealer. With a built-in noise canceling microphone and voice scrambler, voice transmission on the 700 mW speaker is clear even in noisy and windy environments.
The radio can be setup for dual watch or to scan any number of channels with/without priority and the 3200 mAh Lithium-Ion battery will keep you talking for about 18 hours. A display bar graph indicates what charge is left.
