A very economical solution to the communication needs of cruisers and small boat owners. The transmit output is 2.5 watts, which is plenty for most needs and helps prolong battery life. Don’t get too hung up about not having 5 watts output, the difference in range between 5 watts and 2.5 watts is nowhere near as much as you might expect (halving the power does not halve the range). The radios float and are IPX7 waterproof. The dual charger base ensures that the radios are always ready to grab and go. The charger is 110 VAC but our cheap PHL/48-500 50 watt converters will easily handle the needs of customers with 220 volt supplies. They have all international, US and Canadian channels plus the weather channels.
