The HX380 submersible 5-Watt handheld commercial VHF radio is factory programmed with all USA, Canadian, International and NOAA Weather channels. It can also be programmed with up to 40 Land Mobile Radio (137-174 MHz) channels with CTCSS or DCS signalling by a Standard Horizon dealer. Its internal 700 mW speaker can receive clear radio transmissions in a noisy environment.

The 1750 mAh Lithium-ion battery provides up to 13 hours of operating time on a single charge and is packaged with a 110 V wall charger, 12 V cigarette lighter charger, and charging cradle. There is a battery life indicator in the upper left corner of the screen. An optional FBA-40 Alkaline battery tray is also available.
